@chanda@blacktwitter.io I'm no longer willing to create content for the new guy's ads, but I'm losing something, I know. Twitter is where I learned about Trayvon Martin several days before the newspaper mentioned it. I owed this to the overlap between academic Twitter and Black Twitter. The place was also a lifeline during the multiple crises of 2020, and I've depended on it for news related to Russia's 2022 invasion. I'll lose some of this on Mastodon, so I'm keeping my scrubbed account for reading.
