I'm wondering why so many mature FOSS projects are going down the wrong path lately. Perhaps it's this: There's lots of middle-aged dudes all over FOSS who haven't really evolved much beyond their 90s/00s teenage coder philosophy of total freedom, zero responsibility and tech/licensing solutionism. When they're inevitably confronted with the social and political aspect of FOSS they go into denial, as so many middle aged men tend to do when their worldview is challenged.
This once again shows that we need more feminism in tech. Much more.
