@brauner @airlied call me cynical but to me it's just really obvious bike shedding? With no offence meant to anybody, it's a good chance to get all 'big brained' and make sweeping grand statements about the nature of linux, rust, the universe and everything and pop a monocle on. 'twas ever the case. But yeah, let's get back to coding please... :>)

@brauner seems like it's intended to replace it? Why would you do pre-emptive oom when you can just have all the logic in the kernel I guess? But maybe still useful to pre-empt... I'm quite concerned about having bpf make decisions in such a critical place. A great advantage of oomk is it's really simple and straightforward to understand, and oomd and friends can be used otherwise.

@Gina a lot of drama around a mod with what appear to be undelightful views (I didn't dig too much into that), other instances blocking fosstodon, the admin quit, it's a bit of a shit show...
