smol.stream 2.0 for Owncast streamers is out! 🎉
The big new thing: a chat overlay for your stream!
And everything is fully customizable. Fonts, colors, sizes, animations, themes... tweak everything., make it yours.
It's free, open source, and takes about 2 minutes to set up. No download, no signup!!

smol.stream's first side project: a simple #owncast badge you can add to your website, which shows if your stream (or your friend's) is online or offline.

Earlier this year, I said version 2 of the smol.stream emojiwall for #Owncast would enter beta during the summer 2025. Obviously I was wrong.
BUT it's getting closer than ever.
The new chat overlay feature is almost done! Here's a screenshot preview of the work in progress.

Tomorrow I’ll be on Works On My Machine with @ozoned who’ll be installing his very own smol.stream instance!
A great way to talk about the project, and test the documentation!
