Unfortunately, adesso does not work out well for me anymore, due to their recent focus to becoming an #AI agency. Everything agentic is being pushed on me with full force, in an ideologic way, forcing me to shift from a coder to full time AI orchestrator. My supervisor refers to this blog post, saying Level 5 is the goal: https://www.danshapiro.com/blog/2026/01/the-five-levels-from-spicy-autocomplete-to-the-software-factory/ That level 5 described in the article reads like an anti-utopia to me.

There's this report about AI and productivity. It's a productivity loss, not a gain.

"Work is not just taking longer to complete. It is spending more time in a state
where no one is working on it at all."

TIL in my 15 years of professional experience as a frontend developer, I had quite very few React projects. I struggle to get to the "minimum 5 years of work experience wiith React". Yet, I still know enough to teach it, gave a react workshop once ☺️ imho, years of experience is a bad metric. I would need to be 80 years old to fulfill all those requirements.

I always found the palette super odd, but I've been to a metal concert and they used the exact same palette for their event merch shirt (plus, to be fair, an additional skyblue color), so I fell in love with these colors.

Replying to

@mahryekuh @MoritzGlantz I do love how #eleventy (now build awesome) keeps the architecture at HTML-first while still providing a good developer experience. So, to me, developer experience as a webdev is: give me a development server which detects changes and reload the site automatically. Then I'm very happy as a developer. The rest of the attention should go towards the user. 3/2 ☺️

Which tools do you recommend if you want to get familiar with assembly language on retro platforms, just for fun? I'm familiar with the Amstrad CPC 464 from my childhood and I would like to start with that :) I'm on a 2018 mac (Intel), but also have a Windows PC, which I rarely use right now. I have CPCEmu on my Mac installed, but the keyboard handling has a couple issues so I can't type certain chars (I guess due to mac keys).

@matuzo@front-end.social What's the best practice for svgs that are not decorative and part of the content? My current approach (probably bad, I'm super unexperienced when it comes to anything ARIA): When inline, I use . Sometimes also just aria-label. But I often put role="img" to be sure it's represented as img. Not sure if I need that. Or, have it as a separate .svg file and embed it with

Replying to

@mahryekuh @MoritzGlantz To address the increased load times and blank page issue, React provides SSR-techniques. They help, but are very much over-engineered and there are simpler approaches which are – in most cases – way more robust, such as static site generation or dynamic html-generation on the server, which we already have in common web frameworks (php symfony/laravel/friends, ruby, asp.net, node, even java) 2/2
