Extremely long shot: Hi, we are reverse engineering a embedded/automotive protocol called MDT and were wondering (hoping) if anyone here might have heard of that before. More specifics:

it is sent over Ethernet/IP/TCP
the master/server is a embedded Windows XP machine
the slave/client is a display module with a 32 bit PowerPC microcontroller running VxWorks (according to binwalk WIND kernel version 2.5)
it is used to control the display and get some stats like temperature

Tesonet, not Tenoset
Incogni was developed by Surfshark which merged with NordSecurity (the NordVPN folks) into Cyberspace B.V.
Tesonet is not a data broker as far as I can tell, they seem to be a group of investors. They do shady stuff, but I can't find any evidence for data brokering.
I can't find evidence of Tesonet owning any of those companies

Power supply design question: I want to turn 20V/5A (USB PD) into 1.2V, 1.8V, 3.3V and 5V voltage rails. Having 2 stages is more efficient than direct conversion, so I plan to generate 5V/20A and then derive the other values from that. However I am unsure about the output caps. The 5V output rail should have around 300uF and I am currently designing the 1.2V/20A rail. The calculator tells me I should use a 150uF capacitor at the input. Can I just rely on the output caps or do I have to add that?

Hi @gsuberland@chaos.social I hope you don't mind the ping. I have read your blog post on 100 nF decoupling caps and am unsure about a situation like this. It's not really the big-little case, the cap actually serves a purpose (decoupling the analog circuitry).

@RickiTarr@beige.party I also found that article when looking around, however I find it sketchy as the author seems to be peddling "AI" so it is possible that the article was co-authored/researched/... by some LLM. Either way: While Oxylabs and the stuff around it is definitively sketchy, it is not a data broker.
