I know I've complained about this before, but it's terrible how low quality the joysticks on the Switch are. I have a lite so I had to take the whole thing apart to put in a new joystick and less than a year later it's drifting again. I only play tomodachi life, it should not be this bad! I have much older handhelds and controllers that still work well...

I played Pokemon Sapphire. I'm playing a slightly hacked version with a higher rate of shiny pokemon appearing, but I haven't seen any shinies yet. I have only played a few pokemon games so far, but I'm really enjoying them.

I started reading the manga Love DNA XX. I used to love yuri manga, then for several months I couldn't get into it, but now I am back in the mood for it.

Balto! This was one of my favorite childhood movies. I like how he goes from being ashamed of his wolf heritage to embracing it over the course of the story. I still hope to see the Balto statue in Central Park one day; that's been on my bucket list since I was a little kid because of this movie.

@inkandashes@lgbtqia.space I usually read either manga/manwha (I like Pieta, Lonely Monster and Blind Girl, and I Love Amy) or non-fiction (Twilight Girls and Odd Lovers was a good one.) I did read the novel Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit earlier this year but I didn't like it that much.
My to-read list is miles long, but I'll check out the ones you mentioned.

Shakti, and to be more precise, Kali and Sati. (Hindu gods are all sort of one god mixed together, kind of like the Christian trinity but with thousands of gods instead of three.) The anime director Tomino later named another character "Shakti" in Victory Gundam so he seems to have been interested in her for years.
Gundam has a ton of religious symbolism, but because it's mostly Hinduism and Buddhism, it tends to get overlooked by the western fandom. In Japan it's considered part of the "occult wave" and people even blamed it for inspiring the Aum Shinrikyo cult...
Lalah was inspired by multiple figures from different religions/folklore. I have a page about this on my fansite if you or anyone else is curious! I am still planning to add a bit more information to this page but it's mostly finished.

And now my favorite fictional "mom" is Lalah Sune from Gundam. She is not exactly a mom in the conventional sense, but she has a weird "found family" dynamic with one of her comrades and she was also inspired by a Hindu mother goddess, so she deserves the mom title as far as I'm concerned.

@midnakrystal@sadbitches.online there are lots of things like this. there is a lot of supposedly "wolf-inspired" kink stuff about "alphas" knocking up "omegas" but in wolves and other animals who live in societies like that, it's the dominant pairs who breed. subordinate wolves/meerkats/ants/etc are not allowed to breed. so it should be "submissive and sterile" not "submissive and breedable" lol...
plus wolf characters are often portrayed as bloodthirsty and obsessed with meat, but real wolves only hunt when they need to. they actually prefer berries over meat. berries make up over 80% of their diet when the berries are in season!
