@drwho@masto.hackers.town Give a gander at https://idtus.pinpointhq.com/opportunities . We're on a hiring spree. Even if a position isn't classified as "Remote", exceptions can be made for 100% remote when talent is involved. So if something is in Arlington, VA (HQ) or San Diego, CA (closest office to you) - shoot anyway. NOTE: Every remotely technical job will require you to have, or be eligible to get, at least Secret clearance. #GetFediHired

@davidgerard@circumstances.run My youngest BIL has a galaxy Z flip something, and loves it. As soon as Apple makes theirs, which could be this year?, My wife will be getting one (she’s been chomping at the bit, but doesn’t want to enter the Google ecosystem). My youngest SIL also has a galaxy Z flip of some kind they all love them. Even in the first generation of flip phones, I was a candy bar person, so I personally didn’t like them even then.

@thomholwerda@exquisite.social @osnews@mstdn.social @starlabssystems@mastodon.social YES! It is on the short list of machines I'm looking at. Reviews out there are minimal at best, but I really want to know more! On paper/web, it looks like a great machine, but not being able to get hands on, makes it difficult without reviews from trusted sources.

@lukhash@mastodon.social Oooooo. I love this! Congrats on the new release and I'm always looking forward to more!

@levi So many things here that just… seem wrong. For the 2008 side of it. Honestly, I think you'd have to go even futher back in time for the list to make sense. At minimum, pre-Intel Mac era (so only a few years, pre-2006). But to match up the first 5-7 bullet points, you'd probably have to be pre-2000s.

@gedeonm@mastodon.social Holy moly those are sick builds!

@thomholwerda The worst part are the unions where, its a union, sure, but you can't legally strike. Many teacher unions across the US are this way, which is why it's relatively rare to see a direct teacher strike, instead of malicious compliance. Granted, it differs state to state, but in most cases, there are either laws explicitly on the books stating that public servants of local, state, or federal cannot strike even with the backing of their unions, or it's a questionable legal grey area. And given that most people in the US don't have anything to fall back on, the prospect of striking, and then losing ones job, will often lead to homelessness, starvation, and/or death. There's so many failure points in The System™.

@jwz@mastodon.social This is just too real. Way too apt of an explanation.

@ocean@raru.re Not too shabby to be honest, especially with TMR sticks and dual trackpads.
