Portfolio:
Character art for an upcoming history/fantasy novel, commissioned by author Nina Nemesia.
The Divine Trio
Commissioned character art for "The Last One" and "The Cruel Dawn" by Rachel Howzell Hall.
"Happy Place", endpaper illustration I drew for "Sistah Samurai" by
Tatiana Obey. For the special edition published by The Broken Binding! 😊I also contributed 2 manga-style interior illustrations and slipcase art.
My goal was to capture the most relaxing and happiest mood that I possibly could!
My assignment for Winona Nelson's SmArt School class: Choose a favorite book and illustrate a cover for it.
I picked "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller, and my goal was to capture the bittersweet emotional tone of the novel.

Recently released character art for an upcoming history/fantasy novel, commissioned by author Nina Nemesia. This is her main character Lucius.
Age of Enlightenment
A lecture on freedom and equality in the 1770s. Here I used sunlight and shadow, as well as animals, to convey additional layers of metaphor. Commissioned for a history textbook.

The Knight's Favorite
A wildcard for a medieval-themed tarot (that might or might not happen in the near future) where I had complete artistic freedom for the subject! ✨
So I went with "what if courtly love at the tournament, but make it gay?" 💜

At the Court of the Sun King. Nonfiction book illustration showing the dinner of Louis XIV as a court performance in the early 1680s.
Can you guess I love painting very detailed scenes? 😆

A warrior ceremony in ancient Crete.
What exactly is happening here? I can't tell you because we know so little about religious rituals in ancient Minoan culture. But we can assume that war and warriors also played a role in them. And here my task was to imagine what it could've looked like if you were there. I always love a challenge like that!
