Der einzige Vorteil von e-Scootern ist, dass der alte Streit zwischen Radfahrenden und Fussgehenden, wer wohl die rücksichtslosesten Verkehrsteilnehmer (sic) auf den Freizeitwegen seien, jetzt endlich beigelegt ist.

@isotopp I was a customer of interrail. But AFAIR all personal data was only written into a small paper booklet that I could keep on my person at all times, except in the moment of being checked by a conductor.

Several decades ago I ran over an elderly couple because of that behaviour. They were strolling along the bike lane. I slowed and rang my bell. The woman stepped left into the car lane (!), the man onto the sidewalk to the right.
I assumed my path was clear and built up speed again when at the last moment the woman reached over to pull her husband to her side.
Apparently, I was at fault for crashing into them.
