Currently debugging a set of opensource tools for automatic backyard bird detection using a Raspberry Pi.
Amazing as the tool is (it works!), it's an unholy goulash of procedural PHP, Python, and bash scripts.
I know we all like to swear at Drupal's code sometimes, but it's *immaculate* compared to this thing.
It pays off to leave the island once in a while. Puts things in perspective.
"Two supply chain attacks in two weeks. Both followed the same pattern.
Buy a trusted plugin with an established install base, inherit the #WordPress.org commit access, and inject malicious code. [...]
WordPress.org has no mechanism to flag or review plugin ownership transfers."
I wonder if the Drupal marketplace folks have considered ownership transfer issues...

DrupalCan shows you have considered organising a smaller event outside the US.
Was it so unpalpable to skip a year or two in the US and work on two smaller ones in Canada?
Can the Drupal Association actually survive without DrupalCon USA revenue? If not, then maybe that should be front and center instead of ehticalwashing the Orlando choice.
Completely refactoring something.

@rachel@norfolk.social @ddd@drupal.community @mandclu@drupal.community @acquia@drupal.community I did not consider hiring processes in other cultures and stand corrected, though I personally still find such certificates empty().
@afilina@phpc.social For what it's worth, Cory Doctorov uses https://deflect.ca/, and I have it on my list for if/when I need CF-like protection.
It might suit your purposes and they might be happy to accommodate community projects.
At any rate they look and feel human scale...
In today's realm of possibilities that is undecidedly the best option to delve into.
Given that the average snooker club table is not 100% level and does not have a cloth without dirt and other obstacles, it's super frustrating to work on your snooker technique when you're not sure if you're doing it wrong, or if it's the table.
Not unlike when you're writing custom Drupal code and it's not working and you're not sure if you're doing it wrong, or it's Drupal (core/contrib/...).
@greg_harvey@tooting.ch Not sure. I've started using framagit for hosting static pages (codeberg is reworking its pages system) so I'm kicking in, but I'm unsure about their finances...
Cursor introduces Composer 2.
Not to be confused with that other Composer 2 😑 .
