A cool side effect of using a public Godot project as the modding toolkit / pipeline for cheapskate is that I'm bringing people into the engine who've never used it before. With the portability and tiny file size of Godot, it's a very low barrier to try it out. Screenshots of more people working on levels now and sharing their work.

Updated the Steam build with the improved vert air camera and hangtime delay. Also added a bit more experimental transition to the second rooftop in level 2 for testing. It's still not particularly fun yet, but continuing to work on the functionality. There's other passes coming. Still need to add the vert speed boost, then address a bunch of slope issues.

Still iterating on vert skating. Smoothing out launch force and adding a late jump window so the maximum force is either jumping at the last second before the lip or in the late jump window. Gives more consistent air. I'll look into adding some UI feedback to indicate if you got max force or not when you launched. Testing 1 meter quarter pipe also. Works well and feels good if it doesn't go up to vert.

Story mission system developmemet. Implementing cutscene only missions and setting up the intro cutscene mission. Story missions will unlock areas in each level. This first one will give you access to the rooftop apartment above the skateshop. Other story missions will have gameplay and unlock and toggle parts of the level. Each level will have 5 story missions (intro, 3 acts, finale). So imagine 5 different configurations of the level to skate.

Cleaned up some more of the vertical transition skating and added a giant mini ramp to the beach level and updated Steam. This ramp dimension (1.5 m high, 2.25 m radius) looks and feels the smoothest so far with my system and the polish tweaks so far. Still more to do but it's better.
