I'm not at all brand loyal. I just search "synonym for [whatever]."
#TuneTuesday this week is #PowerSong , a song that gets you pumped, gives you a boost, etc.
I want to share this song, which I just discovered yesterday. When it first came up in my playlist, I was so taken with it that I listened to it half a dozen times back to back. It gives me more energy and boosts my mood every time I listen to it.
NiziU, "Love & Like"
Okay everyone, I need to pick your brains for a second. I'm looking for a run-tracking app for Android that will automatically adjust my training plan based on what I'm *actually* able to run, rather than having a premade plan that advances whether I'm able to do the workouts well (or at all). When I searched this morning, TrainAsONE, Asics Runkeeper, and Start Running for Beginners caught my eye, but I don't know how well they actually work. Any input appreciated.
This is morning I was watching an old YouTube playlist I'd made, when I heard Jonathan Coulton's "Code Monkey" for the first time in years. And I still wonder: When he said "Code Monkey likes Tab and Mountain Dew," did he mean "(Code Monkey likes Tab) and (Code Monkey likes Mountain Dew)" or did he mean "Code Monkey likes (Tab and Mountain Dew [mixed together])"? Any ideas?
@x_cli@infosec.exchange Thanks for the info! Randomization isn't a deal-breaker for me, and interactions between players aren't one of my favorite things anyway. (Imagine me as Fred Savage from the Princess Bride: "Is this a negotiating with other players game?")
@x_cli@infosec.exchange Looks like a good weekend! Wingspan looks pretty interesting, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.
I just got a news alert that said "Francis Suarez ends campaign for Republican presidential nomination," and my first thought was "who?" So I guess that explains that.
Go read Cory Doctorow's article that I just boosted about how he got scammed. I had a similar experience last week, which makes the second such experience I've had in the past year. I feel better after reading about his experience - I figure if it can happen to him, it can happen to anyone. We need to normalize talking about this. We're matching wits with an entire criminal industry, and they have the advantage: We have to be perfect every time, but they only have to get lucky once.
Do you want to buy a digital subscription to Artforum? If so, drop me a line.
You see, I want a print subscription. But a print subscription is $65, a digital subscription is $65, and a print/digital combo is $75. So if I can find someone who wants a digital subscription, we can go halves on a combo and pay $37.50 each.
If you know someone who might be interested, pass this on to them.
If you work for Artforum and want to tell me I can't do this, then sell me a print subscription for $37.50.
