I'm primarily a web developer, HTML + CSS + TS is my bread and butter, but I have a good amount of experience with containers, Kubernetes, Nix, NixOS, etc. I'm the sort of person to write a compiler for fun. AND I'm looking to start somewhere ASAP!

So is this the third or fourth time that YouTube has decided it wants to be a messaging app? They have built and torn out the same thing multiple times now and it is wild to think about someone thinking "ah, yes, *this time* it will work"

This is wild, I did not expect the amount of shenanigans that happened at the end. I was thinking this was going to be yet another "bridge to the mainland" or "regenerate chunks" solution, but it turned out to be an extremely interesting strategy to actually manually create an end portal directly. So cool.

I don't know how but I misread Parameterization as Feminization. In my defense it was broken into two lines but still... OOF
Thinking through design for a new OS and I think the concept of a text-only mode is completely unnecessary. Or, rather, it is just as optional as a graphical interface. Both of which can be added on top in user space. That then leads me to wonder what the purpose of a "terminal" is in this kind of system. It seems more like a REPL to quickly operate on the machine, but it is no different than any other program. As such, there is no reason for it to be text-based. Such a "terminal" could indeed draw fancy graphics without any issues.
