Lix is a modern, delicious implementation of the Nix package manager, focused on correctness, usability, and growth – and committed to doing right by its community.
We're happy to announce #Lix 2.95 "Kakigōri" is now available.
This version brings a wide range of improvements, including numerous bug fixes, reduced technical debt, and quality-of-life enhancements. You'll also notice better performance when working with certain large dependency graphs. Flakes and RPC are still key areas we are working on.

An integer overflow vulnerability has been reported and mitigated by the #Lix project as part of a security coordination with the CppNix project.

It’s release time! We’re happy to announce #Lix 2.94 “Açaí na tigela” is now available.
With this release, you’re getting bug fixes, performance tweaks and quality of life improvements, as well as our first steps towards Cap’n’proto based RPC.
An important note: Flakes turn even colder, as our implementation of them enters the freeze period.

this isn't really a change but a formalization of the existing attitude: flakes, from a Nix implementation developer perspective, have been extremely fragile and most attempts to add features or fix bugs in them or fetchers have created bugs or incompatibilities with CppNix.
