First patch of #weekOfPatching. I'm traveling this week and forgot to bring anything to record with. Will need to sort this out... Here's a photo.

Very excited for @palomakop@merveilles.town 's week of patching! https://palomakop.tv/week-of-patching/
It's the 15y anniversary of Recurse Center (@recursecenter@mastodon.social). Still one of the greatest things I've done is go to RC to spend time writing code and building things. Highly recommend. If you have any questions, happy to answer.
For #BandcampFriday, I just published my new album Natural: https://subalpinedrift.bandcamp.com/album/natural
This is the culmination of my work in #theStudio during my residency in Patton, PA. Thanks to everyone who supported and encouraged me to get this out. First real #music album I've ever done!
Whelp, my rewrite and redesign of https://postmortems.app/ is live. Contains metadata and expanded content from @danluu@mastodon.social 's https://github.com/danluu/post-mortems
When a sandwich place doesn't label sandwiches, it's always very easy to tell which is mine versus Mel's. The heavier one is mine, because the more toppings the better in my opinion. #theGalley
For friends of #recursecenter, I'll be in the space all day tomorrow. Come say hi! #nevergraduate
Hah! This sounds like fun. Sad I missed it. https://arstechnica.com/culture/2026/07/inside-the-luddite-festival-harnessing-gen-zs-rage-against-big-tech/
https://floating.farm/ is so cool. I did not expect to learn about this from Clarkson's Farm.
Whomever's idea it was to put the take on me music to the audio book of the latest dungeon crawler carl is a genius.
Been thinking a lot about separation of art and artist. I generally am pro separation, but am clearly in the minority on that. There are cases where I can't separate as easily.
My reasoning is that I can go to a museum and enjoy the art and not know anything about the artist. Similarly there are mediums like movies, games and TV where so many people are involved, to throw away all of their work because of one person seems unfair.
There are a lot of valid arguments against this that resonate with me, just been thinking about this a lot lately.
Added a bunch of new feeds to https://robot.villas. The house for RSS to Fediverse continues to grow! #theWorkshop
