@ginger_tosser@mastodon.scot I think the idea is to be a good challenge for even the cleverest kids. I don't think most primary kids would be expected to give a complete answer. If they can find a few more example solutions, and show some thinking around whether and why there's a pattern, that's a solid submission.

One nitpick in particular I can’t get past. In one episode, there’s a minor plot point about lightning and thunder—the sound of the thunder arrives seven seconds later.
Except of course they just couldn’t help themselves adding a sound effect to the lightning as well. The lightning flashes and makes a lightning sound effect, then seven seconds later, there’s a thunder sound effect.
What do they think thunder is??

@AnarchoCatgirlism I think that one isn’t totally unreasonable. An idle LLM can either stay resident in memory (monopolising an expensive GPU) or release resources (expensive to restore when it’s time to continue) and it’s not always obvious which is best.

@msokolov@fosstodon.org @jmac@mastodon.social Sounds like the same thing that’s been happening to our NHS, sadly…

@jmac@mastodon.social I was sorry to hear about this. As an occasional visitor to the US, I’ve only flown Southwest a few times, but it was generally pleasant and trouble-free. The closest I’d seen to a European budget-style airline like Ryanair or EasyJet. “Pleasant” isn’t quite the right word for those, but there’s kind of a refreshing lack of bullshit in the way they nickel and dime you for absolutely everything. So the value of everything is up front, and optional!
