We look forward to your submissions!
Humanities Methods in Librarianship is a no-fee, open access journal that publishes peer-reviewed research that pushes the boundaries — both thematically and formally — of what has been traditionally viewed as scholarship within the discipline. The journal aims to broaden the conversation by encouraging submissions that deploy methods from the humanities to address current or salient questions related to libraries, librarians and librarianship.

Big thanks to everyone (editors and otherwise) who has been spreading the word of our CFP! It is greatly appreciated.
We've recently launched a new website for Humanities Methods in Librarianship, at https://www.humanitiesmethods.org.
As part of this effort, we've begun putting together Issue 0. So far, this introductory issue consists of front matter, but an editorial explaining the rationale for the journal is coming soon!
We had our inaugural editorial board meeting yesterday. It was great to get into the details as a group!
The call for peer reviewers is slowly being circulated! We hope you'll join us.
Our second ever editorial board meeting was today! It was constructive and encouraging!
Congrats to HML editor Kay Slater on winning the 2025 Library Juice Paper Contest!

Possibly our first appearance in a library catalogue?
