I'm still awake, so I might as well celebrate Caturday already.

Hugo lay next to me for about 30 minutes and cuddled with me.

Then he went back to the sofa.

My sweetheart is lying next to me right now. Photos from yesterday when he was lying on the sofa.

My tomcat is so happy that it's the weekend. He can finally cuddle a lot again during the day and lie next to me.

Heaven on earth for him. He deserves it.

Stories from a cat owner:

Cat just brought a live mouse, meowed and wanted a cuddle.

The mouse was deposited near the entrance. After it had been frozen for a while, it fortunately escaped again directly through the cat entrance/exit.

Luckily the mouse has memorised the way in.

I went for a short bike ride by the water at night.

The path was a bit flooded.

I'm so mean, I locked my cat at home against his will instead of letting him outside.

Now he has to look outside in the warmth with food, drink and litter tray instead of staying outside in the cold where he gets soaked as soon as he leaves the balcony.

For those interested in evolution and science in general, here is a very interesting video in English about the selfish gene theory, a greatly simplified explanation of evolution.

Yesterday I watched the first episode of My Status as Assassin Obviously...

in the dub version. There was no subtitle for the additional information. And there is a lot of text for levels, attacks, classes, etc. in the episode. None of it was translated.

Here is an article on the subject of subtitles at Crunchyroll. In particular the change in formatting and quality.

I love the second season precisely because of scenes like this one from episode 2

Who recognizes this episode of Doctor Who:

The Doctor on a carriage with a woman and a boy, pulled through the clouds by a shark. Later, an old man with the same woman on the carriage, pulled by a shark.

I just watched it on the US DVD (rewatch).

I just tested PipePipe 5.0.0 beta 2, and wow, thanks to the reprogramming, the app is fast and pleasant to use.

PipePipe is the pleasant Android open source YouTube app for watching ad-free, including sponsor blocks.

The original app is a NewPipe fork. You can now migrate from NewPipe to PipePipe, but not vice versa.

What has Crunchyroll done with its subtitles?

They are now just an unformatted blog instead of being nicely formatted and easy to read.

People have also found references to an AI tool in the subtitle code.

This occurred for me in all of this week's newest episodes. Perhaps the adjustment only degraded the quality on a very small number of devices.

A question for the cat community:

How do you cuddle with your furry friends when your hands are occupied (e.g., with lotion on them)?

I've gotten really good at petting him with my feet. He keeps purring even then.
