Sharing some posters I made for my @strudel@social.toplap.org workshop in Salford next week:) Unfortunately, they’re not open to the public, but hopefully this opens up some doors to host some more in the future 🙏🏿
cool stuff i've been working on that i feel like sharing:
creating frutiger aero-esque visuals for a gig next week:

Just posted the full version of this livecoded remix to my soundcloud 🫶🏿 please check it out – especially if you’re a fan of brandy or jane remover:
had a go at composing a more structured song in strudel: https://tinyurl.com/4cmwfjjc !!
it’s a remix of a song i made last month and runs for 64 bars/cycles – take a listen and let me know what u think 🙏🏿
added some footage from a little visual session with @hellocatfood@post.lurk.org too :) was a tun of fun!

feel free to play around with it yourself here: https://hydra.ojack.xyz/?sketch_id=5r0s1iH8zRBDxOW3
if anyone has any idea for how i could add glow / highlights to a hydra pattern like this, please let me know!!

@jamesholden@universeodon.com @TodePond@mas.to yeah all positive vibes! but yeah i think the corsica gig felt like a bit of a cultural checkpoint, there's a lot we could discuss for sure!
Following up on my first strudel workshop with the University of Leeds' BPM (DJ) and Computing societies. You can find the slides here: https://tinyurl.com/stphuucw
Was super pleased with the turn out! 26 people came along to participate and engaged really well with the lecture. It was also a great learning experience for myself :)
Will be doing a workshop next year with University of Salford's creative computing cohort, but very down for future teaching and talk opportunities also 🫡

@jamesholden@universeodon.com @TodePond@mas.to sounds great! i'm actually in jamaica from wednesday till new year's eve, so it would have to be online if we wanna do it before 2026 – also happy to do it next month though?

@jamesholden@universeodon.com @TodePond@mas.to really hate to reschedule again guys, but unfortunately i'm no longer playing again tomorrow... will hopefully be down for an algorhythms at some point though :)

@TodePond@mas.to @jamesholden@universeodon.com hey, I kinda dropped the ball on this – apologies! I had exams straight after getting back from JA :/ would still be down to make this happen whenever you guys are free
this is lowkey a cry for help LOL has anyone used hydra video synth with images over the internet? i have a folder for visuals i've been using from my laptop but silly me forgot that using a local server means it won't be visible if i'm streaming the whole thing via flok #hydra

@janeishly @strudel yeah it's really great! I didn't touch on it on the slides, but I prefer to figure stuff out by ear or trial + error in strudel because you tend to find unique ways of approaching things :)
also the cover image is made from snippets of a lot of different patterns unfortunately 😅 would be cool if it played a cohesive track though

@jamesholden@universeodon.com @TodePond@mas.to yeah should be down on the 25th of feb – could do something in the day time before the gig if you're free that day
