we just released #flohmarkt 0.16.0
it comes with new shiny things such as OAuth2 support, a redesigned item page, a new HTTP caching middleware for better cache busting and a ton of bugfixes!

Today the #flohmarkt team releases flohmarkt 0.20.0. The most important new feature is a opt-out workflow that requires items and user bios to be approved by moderation before going public. Find the full changelog at:

The new process is on per default. You can deactivate it in Administration → Settings → [X] Moderate new items and [X] Moderate user profiles.
today, the #flohmarkt software has witnessed its first login via #OIDC #Oauth2. A keycloak installation served as the identity provider. This marks the beginning of the end of our integrate-more-auth-backends saga!

as we're talking about real-world values tied to commerce i deem decimal more fit for the purpose
@silverpill@mitra.social is it intentional, that in fep0837, the field hasNumericalValue in the Intent-object is a string? Is it a workaround for being able to use extreme values like inf -inf and nan in json?

danke für den tollen bericht :) es sei der hinweis erlaubt, dass "stiefelvorgang" noch von mir höchstpersönlich verbrochen wurde. das war einer meiner 5 teststrings beim aufbau des übersetzungssystems. mittlerweile gibts den leider nicht mehr. codeberg's weblate-instanz bedient sich soweit ich weiss keiner maschinellen übersetzung, was ich sehr gut finde.

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services @nick@norden.social yup. it's officially still in alpha. which doesn't mean, you can't use it for selling stuff yet - flohmarkt has already been used successfully by a bunch of people - it just means that a) we don't guarantee any stability for anything and b) we know that there are still features missing that we want to have in the release version.

@nik@toot.teckids.org i've seen many examples in valueflows that use URIs (a grammar that fep-0837 heavily borrows semantics from), so that should be perfectly fine. for flohmarkt i'd like to offer them as URLs, so the instance can pull information on how to display this unit to the user.

@nik@toot.teckids.org i intend to use a minimal subset of wikidata's statements grammar to express currencies and their fields to other flohmarkt servers. as a admin you wouldn't notice it, you'd just enter values. maybe even only the "labels" field suffices. this is TBD
