@abetterjulie@wandering.shop that series seems really interesting (i liked the movie!) but dauntingly long! Enjoy!!

@abetterjulie@wandering.shop ooh! I knew the de finibus part but what an interesting deep dive! I am partway thru and will watch more soon. Thank you!!

@edwardclaytonandrew i love the series (it is one of my favorites ever) but I have so many other things I haven't read! it is lovely to revisit every once in awhile.
Last time I read through it (2018?) I read through the entire Robin Furth Concordance, cover-to-cover. It was lovely. I have the big slipcase one-volume Cemetery Dance edition and it's awesome!

@edwardclaytonandrew i should write a post on it. But I feel like that'd be most relevant after a reread and it's been a few years.

@eri that is so rad, love it! Would you mind if I shared the link with my retrogaming podcast's discord?
(Not "my" podcast but one I listen to 😅)

@eri yay thanks! Aw i love the idea of it but I do not have a 3DO. I think it's really cool you're doing this tho and I hope there are a ton of takers!

@abetterjulie@wandering.shop it also makes sense that the cutoff would be lorem since it's a syllable break: do-lor-em

@albinanigans goddamn i'm sorry. That is sad and stressful. 💙
I don't know any XMPP servers personally since I've always just run my own. The "official" list may be worth checking but I can't vouch for any of them myself: https://providers.xmpp.net/

@albinanigans@blackqueer.life ugh what did she do now, if I may ask? Hadn't heard about her in awhile but remember there was some Not Great shit with her awhile back.

@albinanigans@blackqueer.life ok, I figured as much. Well, nothing of value is lost in blocking that whole instance then. Thank you for the context!!

@anyGould@kind.social we plug in for 1.3kWh charging at home (120V) and I don't see why solar panels, if they can do that output, wouldn't be feasible, esp if there is a lot of steady sun.
Our EV charges about 1%/hr generally (total 85kWh). So camping and a long sunny day? Why not? Love the idea.
