Geek in my 40s. He/Him
Huge nerd into Anime, Music, especially K-Pop and J-Pop, Craft Beer, physical media, reading (light novels/manga) and Joshi Wrestling.
I run a K-Pop blog at G-Nitro.com, and I co-host an Anime podcast called Otaku in Review (Find us on most Podcast platforms) with my friends Scott and Shannon
Avatar is of my Original Character Sati Kim doing a crown pose (like K-Pop group ITZY) with her hands. Banner shows my vinyl shelving collection. There are vinyls in IKEA Kallax shelves, and anime figures on top, along with K-Pop memorabilia. On the wall are K-Pop posters and albums being displayed.

The won't be another Daily Music Wrap-Up until Monday at the earliest.
I am off to D.C. for Otakon for the weekend.
So I told RetroAchievements to surprise me today, and I'd play the game it picked. I got the game X-Kaliber 2097 for the SNES.
This game is equal parts ridiculously hard, and ridiculously bad. After trying to play the game like normal, I was like F THIS, and threw on cheats.
Let me tell you something! These game is still just as stupid with cheats on. I almost rage quit the game multiple times.
Anyway I mastered it on RA after slogging through it, but I'm not proud, I'm not happy, and I hope I never play that trash again.

Witch Hat Atelier Episode 1 Impressions
This show is super pretty! The backgrounds, environments and characters all look great.
I really like Coco as a character. Also I'm going back to my first paragraph, this show is so gorgeous. LOL. I need more of this show!
Pretty sure this is going to be a show I keep up with.

@ishambard@cupoftea.social Geez, that sounds like an awful thing to deal with, both in game and the site support. =/

@ishambard@cupoftea.social I watched Jeff Gerstmann play this Friday for his N64 rankings, and it looked abysmal LOL
Rooster Fighter Episode 1 Impressions
Well it is as absurd as I expected, but it's not really clicking for me. Sometimes this show looks cool, and sometimes it suddenly doesn't, mostly with some character designs.
I'll be honest, I kind of finished this episode feeling disappointed. I knew it would be dumb, just didn't think it would fail to be entertainingly dumb. Pass

@ishambard@cupoftea.social Also, followed you back on RA. You've put in a lot of work on those Hardcore game completions. That's awesome to see.
I don't have the patience for hardcore, and I love my save states... and sometimes tossing cheats on when I get tired of JRPG grinds. lol

The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt Episode 1 Impressions
This show doesn't look the best, but it's obviously intentional. Thought this is was going to be an ecchi comedy, but looks like a sweet and funny rom-com.
I actually like the chemistry between them, even if Togo is an idiot. It works in this dynamic.
Doubt I'll be keeping up with this as it airs, but probably a binge watch later. We'll see how a couple more episodes play out.
