@elaterite @heidilifeldman @simon_brooke @Beachbum that's a rational fear. Impeachment can cost you at the ballot box. I am of the mind that at least Hegseth and Trump should be impeached but its sort of pointless if you dont have the votes in the Senate to convict. Right now I do not believe that they could get all the dem votes (e.g. Fetterman). Come to think of it, maybe they should impeach him too.

Nothing excites a Minnesotan quite like the words "fuck ice".

@Felila@mastodon.social @RickiTarr@beige.party are you saying she cooked the meat poorly or that you just didn't like steak?

@NanoRaptor@bitbang.social Whoa! Now that Pic wins the internet!

@hasani@my-spaces.social thats an interesting perspective but I don't think the US will suffer. More likely this will cause 3rd world chaos, perhaps a famine somewhere.

@Nickiquote food is the enemy.

@FranceskaMann @wdlindsy Trump was duly elected in 2024 winning both the electoral college and the popular vote, unlike 2016 and 2020. He was America's choice and we all need to get over that. The collective "we" did this to ourselves. Trump never hid who he was and "we" still chose him. He is more of a representative of who "we" have become. The real question is "who do we want to be now"?

@jenniferplusplus@hachyderm.io the arc of technology aka "Moore's law" says that these technologies will get smaller and more efficient over time. Many of these AI data centers will eventually become unemployed.

@AriaaJaeger@masto.ai I did not know this.

@Felila@mastodon.social @RickiTarr@beige.party cool. I tried cutting back meat consumption for a while but that didn't last long. I am just not a big veggie fan.
