Ergo haben wir hier kein klassisches "Fensterglas", aka Kalk-Natron-Glas, sondern wir haben es mit einem Alumosilikatglas zu tun, ja die sind etwas fester, aber vom Klassiker Superfest aus der DDR leider weit entfernt, schade. Für einen Haushaltsgegenstand schon irgendwie cool, aber da geht noch ne Menge 😅

@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz what the actual fuck?! Never saw an appartment with a hardwired fan, they're more or less always light triggered with a delay relay set to 10 minutes or little bit more. Would this be true, it would very much skew the maths in favour of my personal solution, which draws about 80W continously, dehumidifying the room while also drying and warming my towels. Should I start selling these things now? o.O

I installed such units while I did vocational training as an electrician, at least here in germany this is how I call it "new house stuff", as I've never lived in anything built y2k onwards. So no real life knowledge in this regard. Btw. somewhat adjacent to the original post: For the very same reason I'm trying to push family and friends towards using (kilo) joules instead of kcal IRL. Makes things so much more comparable, like "this hamburger could run my notebook for a week" is only one simple multiplication ahead :)

@uvok@woof.tech zwingt dich ja niemand das OS zu benutzen.. Da mein Homeserver ein Thinkpad mit kaputtem DIMM-Slot aber 4 gig intern ist hab ich mir den VM-layer gleich gespart und noch --net=host drangesetzt, der Host macht nämlich das HA eher nebenher als hauptberuflich Stellt sich dann so heraus: Das einzige was das OS tut ist a) automatisch neue container starten und b) automagisch connecten a) geht recht einfach manuell oder gleich im compose-file b) jede "app" die ich bisher nutzen wollte war auch als "integration" verfügbar, man muss dann nur beim Hinzufügen manuell IP/Hostname eintippen Deine Kilometer könnten variieren
