so I recently had to “try” vibe coding as a part of work (ugh), and here is my take on it
- it is a lot, and I mean a lot better than it seemed to be a year ago. that is not to say that it’s good by any measurable means, but it can no longer be dismissed as easily as saying it writes totally broken code, which is unfortunate
- I can understand how it can be addictive to people, it *feels* like you’re getting stuff done faster. but it is never really correct, it is just a really convincing approximation of correctness
- even just touching it for a few hours feels horrible. like the best word I could describe it with is CORROSIVE. it feels like your own skills and capacity for independent thought are melting away the more you use it
If you pollute open source with vibe coded trash: fuck you

you’re welcome~ :3
What the fuck, I just slept for nearly 24 hours, how
why do I always have dreams about missing flights despite the fact I’ve never even come close to missing one in my life
filled donuts are a crime against humanity. like seriously why would anyone want to bite into something soft like bread and suddenly be met with a bunch of liquid
A few of Raven's specialist security disciplines...
- Exosecurity (EXOSEC) - security concerning the use of exophysics, including materials (i.e. galraite, exofluids, dineutronium), knowledge, and control over the manipulation of manifolds and cross-dimensional access.
- Infohazard security (INFOHAZSEC) - defence against the weaponisation of infohazards, including measures to deal with all methods of informational proliferation, including visual, auditory, and olfactory.
- Neurological security (NEUROSEC) - defence against neurological attacks on personnel, including the attempted extraction of information via physical access to the brain or SI core. some overlap with INFOHAZSEC
- Psychological security (PSYSEC) - defence against psychological attacks and psychological manipulation towards personnel, including the weaponisation of anxiety and trauma, and attempts at radicalisation.
They have quantified everything... even the mind.

a rock is the most secure object in the universe. you cannot hack it, it has zero points of failure, truly perfect supply chain security, the firmware is always up to date, it is beyond IP69 rated and fully hermetically sealed, and fully TEMPEST, SDIP-27, NIAP, and Common Criteria EAL7+ compliant, it tolerates all forms of electromagnetic interference including EMPs, and it’s fully radiation hardened
1.9TDI is a rollercoaster located at Clarks Summit Park in Scranton, PA. It is themed after car and smoking culture, specifically around the “1.9 TDI” aesthetic of diesel VW Golf cars that later became a meme. It boasts the highest top speeds of any rollercoaster on Earth. Superconducting linear motors are used to launch the ride at up to 477 km/h. Like Dipper 2, only sufficiently augmented patrons are allowed to board. It was built in early 2127.
The rollercoaster incorporates elements of burnt rubber and simulates the smell of diesel exhaust fumes, and riders are encouraged to light up and smoke cigarettes while summiting the lift hill. Real diesel fumes were historically used on the ride, but after one patron’s ciggy ignited the fumes and set the car ablaze, the practice was discontinued. However, participants at the time claimed that the flaming ride “was truly epic”, and that they’d do it again despite receiving third-degree burns.
blessed with creative thoughts, cursed with the inability to draw
…hopefully changing soon
kinda sucks that I have to go to bluesky to find people who are also into my niche kinks, it would be cool if even just some of that community were over here

Finally made a logo for my worldbuilding project~
I decided to go with Mediawiki for my new public-facing worldbuilding wiki and I'm still wondering if I'm gonna eventually regret that decision... lol
Besides that and Wikidot, I don't really have experience with anything else. I know the SCP Wiki uses the latter extensively, but also is looking to move off of it since it's pretty antiquated. Mediawiki isn't that bad so far I guess, though it's fairly complex
One thing I do want to do is fully customise the styling so I can theme the site to my universe, and I'm not sure yet how difficult that'll be to do with the default theme system
Huh??? I bought a pack of TimTams here in the UK and it says “chocolate FLAVOURED coating”. while the Australian version of the website says “smooth chocolate coating”
am I going insane? is the UK version specifically made with fake chocolate or have timtams always been made with fake chocolate and the UK laws are just more strict?
Ok random question, does anyone know of a good way to make character portraits for worldbuilding stuff (without using AI)?
I'd rather commission artists to do it (and in fact, I have, for several character already) but I have hundreds of characters and that just isn't financially sustainable at scale
Maybe photobashing or something like that? But then that might get into issues of intellectual property with real-life people
someone should make a series where they test how well every possible liquid works as bong water. coffee, milk, pickle juice, wine, vodka, hot sauce…
Saw movies be like: this guy jaywalked so now I’m gonna make him rip his own eyeballs out
