@gwynnion It is very simple - if these features were of any value you would nott have to travel to Alpha Centauri to find the disable switches. The idea of “a deep and meaningful conversation” with a computer program is as weird and dystopian as it gets.

@emilymbender@dair-community.social Absolutely. In the first place this is fraud - Meta’s AI can’t possibly have a child but it presumes most people would know that. Secondly it is irresponsible for a Meta’s AI to be giving therapeutic advice in relation to a disabled individual and conduct what appears to be spruiking for a particular facility (does Meta get paid for this advertising)?
Perhaps the FDA could regulate Meta’s AI as a medical device. Or Meta could stop this ridiculous nonsense.

@randahl@mastodon.social Funny how the clerical politicians in Tennessee begin to resemble the political clerics in Kabul - what is truly and deeply distressing is that the good people of Tennessee think that these people are worthy of their vote.

@drV@cloudisland.nz @nazgul@infosec.exchange @emilymbender@dair-community.social I thought validating software was an oxymoron - you test it to remove the obvious bugs and then release it so your customers can findd the hidden bugs for you.

@lolennui@mas.to It would be great if there was a “widget” that made a tally of which instances you interacted with ….. actually scrub that - starting to sound like tinder. #instancecounter

@ElleGray@mstdn.social a few hundred people asked if he had read the bible but Jack/John claimed he wasn’t making an analogy (which he in fact was doing) but merely making an anal-ogy (which is something else again).

@ErinInTheMorn@mstdn.social Dreadful - this is what you would expect from Iran, not the US in the 21st Century - as for the age limit - a little hypocritical since you can be conscripted and killed at 18
