A couple of days ago, few hours before leaving home for a four days trip I decide to upgrade one of my home servers to FreeBSD 15.1. Nothing difficult.
After upgrade the machine start rebooting in a loop. I pick up my serial cable and see the boot process crash when mounting ZFS
panic: zfs(panic): zfs: rt={spa=zroot vdev_guid=546977716602668702 ms_id=9 ms_freed}: adding segment (offset=2431c0000 size=1000) overlapping with existing one (offset=2431c0000 size=1000)
😬 that's terrible.
I relay on this machine to access my nextcloud where all my trip tickets are stored.
Hopefully ZFS saves my day!
I was able to boot back to the previous snapshot, and smoothly restore the service, but I probably need to start thinking in a replacement for this machine....

Hopefully one of the comments quotes @_elena@mastodon.social article about the "W social" drama, and the benefits of the Fediverse ❤️
Is "too latte" an acceptable play on words ?

This is an amazing desert !🤪

@eighthave@social.librem.one Looks like a reproducible pattern, delete the evidences, then do whatever you want.
Storytelling is the new true.
And at the same time Donald is running for peace.....😅

@_elena@mastodon.social @euronews@flipboard.com This is quite strange, since the EU seems to host a mastodon instance for the officials https://ec.social-network.europa.eu/explore

@nicolasvivant Ce qui est cool c'est qu'on peut télécharger la vidéo avec youtube-dl pour la regarder hors ligne, ou juste extraire l'audio.

@mwl@io.mwl.io @emaste@mastodon.social I couldn't have said it better, first diff3 import was done in 2017.

@Blort In my experience is difficult to tighten the connectors without breaking them. Maybe using IC Test Hook could be a good alternative for tests.
If the connection has to be permanent, use JST connectors
That's my 2 cents...
