Today was a public holiday for me so spent the morning helping a friend get some structure around how to move forward with her PhD, then went to the mother-in-law's to get the house ready for her hopeful return on Wednesday, and have spent the afternoon doing cooking so we have leftovers and can have an easy week considering we will probably be juggling other responsibilities.
Did day release for the mother in law and surprised her with an inflatable cake for her 86th birthday (she should get released from rehab in the next few days but have to go back for follow up while still in a moonboot). There was real cake as well and homemade sweet and sour pork as she requested. Also did day release for the father in law so they could spend some time together. I'm exhausted.
Homemade lasagne in the oven.
Just got on the bus and realized I'm not wearing my glasses. At least I have my reading glasses.
Now reading American Hippo, by Sarah Gailey. Thanks for bringing it to my attention @gairdeachas@mastodon.social it's proving to be a delightful holiday read. #bookstodon #reading
Moussaka in the oven. Bf asked me to make it again after loving it a couple of weeks ago. Fingers crossed I can meet his expectations.

@Fabirucho@mastodon.social let's allow a month to be fair to everyone. That also gives time to anyone else who wants to join some time. Happy reading.

@earthmothering9@aus.social sorry to hear this but glad you have a good number of years together.

@augustusbrown@aus.social I was hoping to see more frequent busses for Bendigo. The new timetable for connecting to the vline is nice for those using it but doesn't work if you need to connect to get across town (tooted while waiting at bus stop).

@setmeravelles@lgbtqia.space I finished this and it was ok, nothing to rave about and a bit predictable.

@Fabirucho@mastodon.social it's Palaver. How long do people want to read it? #PrideAndPages
