eth0 (the dutch event which accidentally got too popular for its size) should rename to something like enp86s0f0np0 to not sell out too fast

crossposter broke in early 2024 now i only post things that i think fit in the fedi vibe.
i don't use CWs very much. for the heavy stuff i'd rather not post in this website.

@ln@chaos.social @ave@social.treehouse.systems @sa7dse@chaos.social for measuring pm2.5 clean air delivery rate this is a cute guide: https://itsairborne.com/how-to-measure-hepa-air-cleaner-filter-cadr-a660bfa4479d
PM2.5 CADR is sliiightly differently defined to the cleanairkits target (dust CADR, 0.5-3μm) but the sensor we have (SPS30) considers the range 0.3-2.5μm so close enough

@sa7dse@chaos.social @ave@social.treehouse.systems i'd love a more compact, possibly cylinder shaped design that people can just put in the middle of a table. there are consumer units like that, but i don't trust the performance of commercial air purifiers. i think we're gonna be doing a bunch of testing in the near future

@yuri@social.nekover.se no experience with acetone, but https://sitefiles.camlab.co.uk/3M%20Respirator%20Filters%20and%20Cartridges%20Brochure.pdf says you need an AX class instead of A because boiling point is less than 65 C and the only filter with that is 3M 6098 AXP3 which in turn is only for full face masks so the usual 3M 6200 half mask won't cut it.
also wow acetone looks way nastier than expected, apparently just goes through most gloves.
