my 3d printer's thermistor had this issue for so long now where it would sometimes readout wrong values way out of the defined safe values, making the printer shutdown mid print
there are two connectors inline with the thermistor wire
one near the mainboard, which i added to extend the cable
and one it came with near the toolhead
turns out the connector i added years ago was badly crimped
i replaced it and it started working again
seemingly
but then the same problem showed up again, but less frequently
turns out the connector that it came with developed the same problem
so i replaced it
problem fixed
for about 20 hours of print time
then it happened again
i soldered the wires together now
if it starts happening again i'm gonna crash out (replace the entire cable)
right, there was this congress thing
i don’t know what to say, i simply had a good time
thanks everyone
i really don’t understand why carbon fiber infused filament is a thing in 3d printing
i watch a lot of videos about people’s projects involving 3d printing and other various videos around the topic
and the information i got from that is that the carbon fibers will stick out from the surface of the 3d print and can migrate through your skin and into your blood stream
this seems really bad?
but it still seems like a relatively popular choice of material that many people use
why?
am i missing something here?
and besides, i also learned that the carbon fibers don’t actually improve the mechanical properties of the print
that it’s basically a scam
not sure if that’s universally true, but that’s what i got from a video i watched on the topic recently
thinking of getting a guitar stand for your many bass guitars?
don’t
just leave a bass in every room
you certainly won’t regret leaving 1-2 bass guitars in every room to noodle around on
hi everyone
i want to work with some solvents in the near future in possibly larger amounts
mainly acetone, but maybe also methyl ethyl ketone
for that a respirator seemed like a good idea to me
i have no experience with respirators and have been looking at the 3M 6000 series as that's what a lot of people i see use i think?
how do you all like it?
for filters i think the 3M 6055 A2 should be the correct one to work with this stuff, right?
