@nina_kali_nina@tech.lgbt There's a line in an old punk song that I sing in my head when I see this stuff. 'The shit we have to climb through is the shit we choose to take' Choose to take this, then it's your shit to climb through for a long time. The next choice will be harder. Your choices matter to your future. Make an actual choice, an actual active sacrifice. Your and you is personal and collective. Choose how & who you want to live as. Right choices cost less than easy ones in the end.

@robinince@mastodon.social How far the BBC management has fallen. How tall are those that stand up. Thanks for being able to stand for the brave and the best of humans not their mediocrity and cowardice.

@lukemartell@social.coop as a vegetarian for about 45 years, when I went to Sylvan I had the best meal ever. Paired with some brilliant Alsace wines my psyche met my senses and my heritage and celebrated. Fan-fng-tastic.

By university our education systems should have built understanding of the foundations of our world not just the current course of brickwork. New things are always built in the light or shadow of the past. Knowing how knowledge forms & where it comes from is vital. By university our students questions should be better & our knowledge wide enough to frame them well. Makes me cross that we have failed to empower people sufficiently with understanding by loading success as knowledge & recall.

@Rainmaker1973@zpravobot.news

When I see a reconstruction like this it reminds me that even though we are seeing it through modern eyes, they too probably felt they were everlasting & modern societies or civilizations.

Our survival requires us to repeatedly learn how things shift, change & end, so we can build a society to take on the future.

Difference is essential but equity is too. When there are many that have almost nothing & a few that can barely acquire more, it's sign-posting societal failure.

Ok, there is hope for America. Nothing is perfect but as long as people are actively trying there is reason for hope.
