I may have asked this before, and I'm sure I've seen an extension that does it but: If I create daily notes in #Obsidian, is there a way to view all of those notes as one single, tall, ticker-tape-style scrollable master note where I can scroll up and down to see all the days I wrote on, instead of piecemeal clicking on one day at a time in the calendar to see just that day's entry?
I KNOW I've seen something like this before.

@clankgy1@infosec.exchange Can't recommend Mac highly enough. I've been a Windows nerd for decades. Mac does pretty much everything, but with far less wattage used. I don't game but I do do a crapload of photographer workflow and video transcoding and my 18C/40G MBP is exceedingly good at all.
Also, Obsidian works flawlessly across both platforms. Nothing to reconfigure. Nothing to worry about at all.

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange It won’t ever come back to normal. Just like food prices. Just like McDonalds 12.99 bundle now costing $19. And like gas prices. We won’t ever see hard drives and ram at the prices we’re used to. They’ll see that people will buckle and buy high and they’ll lock that in for good. I got a m5 max and in fact a m4 Mac mini for the best prices and while I’d be delighted to be proven wrong, there’s no way. I’ll switch back to cameras and mechanical keyboards and just use what I have.

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange It’s called Dato by Sindre Saurus. We use an app called Glean at work and it does it as well but Dato allows you to change the font and color. Extremely useful.

I use that app to show a folder of files and it gives you a single column where you have to hold the mouse at the bottom and wait while a thousand files scroll by until you get to the one you want. I asked for a simple multi-column implementation so you could show all the files in three or four columns horizontally - PLENTY of space on a Mac screen for that. He’s like shyeah sorry, that’s beyond me, then blames my *use case* instead of his lack of coding competence. 🖕

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange Thing is I *need* to see many of mine, especially the stats one (colored readouts for free space and so on), and clicking others are the way to actually bring up the program itself or else a dropdown window with info or a calendar. I wouldn’t want to have to unhide them in order to 1) see if the app is even running and 2) run the app or pop its window or dialog.

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange and my current CPU usage, GPU usage, RAM usage, green dot to tell me if I’m online or not, current IP, the blurred part is my upcoming next meeting/event. Given the fact that for certain MacBooks I only have a pathetic 512gb (I could easily download half that in a single day) it’s monumentally important that I keep track of how much space I have left continuously, along with seeing what shit eats up my cpu periodically. You’ll have to forgive this “real computer usage” habit of mine😏

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange What should be illegal is Apple trying to convince everyone that black and white icons in the systray are better than color ones. On Windows I used to have even more than this, believe it or not, but all icons were in vivid color and you can tell at a glance which app each represented.
Color icons in the dock but b/w in the menu bar. Someone please explain that to me.
