I've just found this image from 10 years ago. My 8yo daughter came up with some ideas to help Linux Voice because she knew we were running out of money. Lots of these ideas are awesome! Go Linux Voice!

@hravnkel Hello! It's an X-Surf 100, replacing a home-built Arduino PARNET thing I had attached to the parallel port on my Amiga 4000. I've had this machine from new in the 1990s. Buying the card seemed slightly mad given the price and what it's for, but I'm very happy with it after decades of flaky connectivity.

@hravnkel That was exactly what I was going to do, but in a flourish of over-excitement bought Roadshow to go with the shiny card. I think I have the same backup of Miami installed - I could try a performance / CPU / memory comparison if that's helpful, but Roadshow has been faultless so far (considering I came from TCP/IP through the parallel port!)

@hravnkel I tried it many years ago, when I lived with someone who also had an Amiga. It was always good fun messing around with those things - same with 2 player games with a null modem cable, or mouse and keyboard sharing with Synergy (I need to try this again now). My Amiga was online enough in the 1990s, running httpd, that I think there's even a snapshot of some embarrassing web experiments on the web archive.
