mastodon 4.8.0-nightly.2026-10-06Chances are you probably do not want to follow me. I am just not that interesting.
I feel good about this morning's half marathon.
I kept my pace pretty even throughout - although I tended to slow down a bit when I would take a gel and some water.
Was able to drop five minutes and establish a new PR.
I had enough still in the tank to really push the last mile... and also felt pretty good afterwards.
The training is paying off! I need to stick with the plan.
Long term goal: 1st marathon in October.
Injured my right knee (patellar tendonitis) in a race when I forgot to wear my patella straps. Got a PR for the 10k but what a stupid, unforced error. Been recovering for two weeks. This morning I did a light 5k and everything seems to be working.
The emotions and frustrations these last two weeks were intense and unexpected.
Going to work on knee stability exercises. Slowly.
Restarting my marathon training plan to week zero.
Felt so good to be back out this morning. I need this.
Jimmy Carter wants you to do better! ;-)

Really been enjoying my #Kobo Forma for the last five years. I never connect it to the internet and manage the books through Calibre.
I am disappointed the Kobo is not selling more basic ereaders like the Sage.
