I am feeling decidedly down. I have no idea why. Nothing is particularly troubling. Usually when I feel this way it's due to a distinct lack of sleep, but that isn't the case here. I slept well last night. I'm trying to shake myself out of it, but I don't even know why this gloominess is being so bothersome.
Avid roleplayer, board gamer, and reader of horror, urban fantasy and true crime. I love Broadway musicals; my current favorite is Come From Away. I have a Maine coon and an ocicat. I love filk and folk music, can't cook worth a darn but wish I could, order delivery far too often, and would love to find a campaign to join. I am blind and will discuss issues related to disability from time to time.
I set up a Bluesky account. Based on what algorithm they used, they automatically had me following 80 people. I've now reduced that to 26. If you are using Bluesky, feel free to follow me at coboldragon.bluesky.social.
We watched the two part TNG episode Redemption yesterday. I love Klingon episodes, so that was fine. Worf's reasoning at the end made sense to me. But I know that Picard said data did an excellent job as a commander, but I thought the story actually demonstrated otherwise. He didn't communicate with or guide his crew at all. We've seen him explain numerous things while on the Enterprise, but he couldn't spare his crew or Picard a few words of explanation, even though he multitasks just fine.
I love folk horror! Last night we watched The Feast. In this case I'm absolutely grateful that they had readers for all the subtitles. After all, the movie was in Welsh. I don't know a single word in Welsh. Well actually, "fuck" seemed to be similar. LOL. The movie was a bit more gruesome than I was expecting, but I liked it.
This new laptop is annoying me. I have lost speech once again today. No reason that I can see; JAWS just crashed. I keep wondering if I just didn't get a powerful enough laptop for everything I want to do. I shall sit here and ponder my life choices and glare at this recalcitrant laptop.
I'm contemplating either a Braille Sense 7 or a BrailleNote Evolve. I have a Braille Sense 6 that I love but it is slowly dying. I've researched both devices a lot and have concerns about them both. Are others contemplating similar choices? What have you decided upon? Are there other options I should consider? #Braille #BrailleSense #BrailleNote
I'm considering backing Neon Odyssey: space Opera in D&D. It's 1400 pages of rules and setting information. the campaign is huge, and has three plushies I think I'd like a lot, including a phoenix chick, a llamacorn and a space whale I read a bit of some of their rules writing, though, and although the writing was fine, it didn't really inspire me. What I really want to see is setting material, to see if I'd enjoy that.
Although this image has alt text, I wanted to know more. I'm glad my tool provides image description. It made the stories come alive.
