It's indeed a way of making software. It can be "reality-baked" (hehe). It's easy when you're publishing to be driven by numbers only/business imperatives, the idea is to go to observe/talk to the users to build their tools with them. It may sound obvious like this but I assure you it is not.
Sadly the "ux" trend of the past 10 years somewhat hide the real idea behind this, with most people confusing User-centered design with "good looking software regarding today's standards"...

Those "summarized" characteristics are embodied in embeddings. It is possible to a certain extent to see that as what the LLM "knows".
When you have trained your model, embeddings alone can be valuable as "knowledge"
