3 years ago I had to wear a heart monitor for a bit. I was just being a goofball and taking selfies then I was like holy shit I have created a masterpiece.

Philippe really loves sitting on the little couch.

It has been 2 days since I last posted a cat photo. I apologize and offer up this angel for your consideration.

Cats are biologically just very sleepy guys, but humans have an innate desire to wake them up and hassle them (because of cuteness). It's no wonder they have a bit of a reputation for being sassy! I would kill anyone who started petting me while I was trying to get my daily 18 hours of sleep.
This miniature couch is one of the best things I've ever found while #thrifting
Busy day but I had to drop in for #WhiskersWednesday with another photo of Peridot in my lightbox!
This is Ruby's school photo.
Help! Tabitha is being too beautiful!
It's Philippe's 4th gotcha day! This amazing boy started out as a foster for us. He'd been surrendered to the shelter due to chronic tummy problems. It was our job to take care of him while we sorted that out, but we fell deeply in love with him and he had to stay with us. Here's a baby pic!
I realized with horror that I have posted NO cat content in 8 days. I'm so very sorry. Please have this older photo to make up for it. (I miss fostering! I need a kitten in my life!)

Aaaaaaah! I almost forgot to post for #Caturday - so here's another foster kitten from the past. I always get kitten fever around this time of year; I need some babies to cuddle!
It's time for an #intro post!
I'm autistic and have ADHD. I have narcolepsy and a handful of other diagnoses that keep me irritated with my physical form. I'm almost 40, madly in love with my husband, and I homeschool our only child. I have religious trauma and I'm happily an atheist.
Seems I'm mostly going to show off my cats here! I love thrifting, vintage stuff, and embroidery. Sometimes I make collages and write poetry, and I love dressing up.
I aspire to be a good human.
The giver and the gift. (Ruby continues to bring me this toy.)
Checking in for #WhiskersWednesday with an old photo of one of our fosters, Fluff. Baby whiskers!!!
Does this count for #WindowFriday ?
MONDAY MOOD. It was a busy weekend and I'm so tired.
Overheard at the doctor's office as an old guy was leaving--
Receptionist: Did she ask you to come back?
Old Guy: No, she never wants to see me again.
(One of my favorite things in life is old people with snappy comebacks. He had great comedic timing.)
For #ThrowbackThursday here's a batch of foster kittens from several years back! We called them the Beanie Babies and their names were Lentil, Chickpea, Butterbean, and Jellybean. They were the only bottle babies we ever fostered and I loved them SO much!
Ruby found a sunny spot to hang out. Happy #Caturday !

After 12 years in this house, sleeping in an ugly brown bedroom, we got our walls painted a couple of weeks ago! I'm loving this green and taking the opportunity to redo the whole bedroom. That means pink curtains and the newest addition: a garland of paper stars made from book pages! It rustles gently when the air conditioner comes on so I wasn't sure I'd like it above the bed, but I slept fine last night, so it can stay!

Phone calls are so difficult for me. Even simple ones!! I need to call my allergist and reschedule my next monthly shot. It should be incredibly straightforward. And yet... Here I am procrastinating and feeling anxious! It's almost like I'd rather show up in person and ask about it. I'm not sure why calling is so hard.
Last night I thought about doing a dramatic forward roll off the couch while talking to my husband, just to make him laugh. Then I thought better of it because my back was really messed up last week and I don't want to hurt it again.
This means I'm getting older and more fragile, but on the other hand I'm also getting WISER and making fewer mistakes with my body.
It felt like a real milestone in aging.
I think of a lot of things when I'm walking
I think of a lot of things walking home
I say them aloud to myself I am talking
I talk to myself when we are alone

@AncTreat5358@lgbtqia.space @autistics@fedigroups.social I'm sorry that happened! I am the same way about being misunderstood, it really upsets me. I hope you can get the form filled out correctly.
I feel like I just posted a Modest Mouse song, but I can't resist this one! It's so good.

-A day off! I normally have to rush around early on Mondays to get my kid ready for her classes. It's nearly 10 a.m. and she's still sleeping.
-My husband is coming home today! He's been out of town visiting his brother for a couple of days. It was a chill weekend without him but I'm looking forward to seeing him.
-I have a physical on Thursday! Not normally exciting, but I've got really bad hives and I'll be able to show them to my doctor. I have a lot of things to tell her.
One of my favorite songs about a historical event! Fascinating.

1) my psychiatrist told me she's proud of me. I've been seeing her for roughly 13 years. We talked for 10 minutes longer than usual about my progress over the years, including the more recent autism revelation and how that's changed things. It was a great conversation!
2) my daughter is having her first sleepover tonight, and we're hosting it! Two other kids are here and so far everyone is having fun. It's cute stuff.
3) I get to eat pizza! YUM.

@wallacewords ohhh I don't miss parties like that! My daughter would have meltdowns at loud parties when she was younger and finally I just started declining invitations. Instead we'd meet up with the birthday kid later in a quiet setting to give a gift!
This is such a neat song!

Kid borrowed my phone, gave it back with a dozen photos that look like this.

This song features an ostrich, egret, and peacock! You may not have heard it unless you were goth-y in the late 90s/early 2000s. Rasputina was one of my favorite bands in high school.
