I turned into a person that avoids software updates now because they’re too scared of the new “features” and updates. Please don’t take good old iWork away from me 😭
Happy to inform you that I, also, run on Private Cloud Compute

@Eggfreckles I still have the box! 🥰
Instead of chatting with an agent in Figma, I’d love a lil window to chat with my team mates. Little banter and shop talk about the design file, and with a little [🧹], all is erased.

honestly ever since Figma released auto-layout I cannot help but arrange every thing I see (a table and two chairs? Set the table to ‘stretch’, padding 32px, align bottom) into it.

@leitleinkultur Ja es ist wirklich eine Wonne!
for me, my biggest change through ai in my profession is that i now have to name my layers 😒
Wrote a new newsletter about my recent Writing = Design workshop, and about steering language around the annoying AI topic:

@jensnikolaus Yes! It’s a fairly easy endeavour.
To change the hard drive, this tutorial was the best: https://de.ifixit.com/Anleitung/Ersetze+die+Festplatte+durch+eine+Micro-SD-Karte+in+einem+iPod+der+4.+Generation+oder+Photo/148097
I used a CF card, not the CF/SD adapter. Make sure to also check the comments of the sections. ;) Card needs to be FAT32-formatted. A FireWire wall plug is needed for initial charging.
Changing the battery was also easy: https://de.ifixit.com/Anleitung/iPod+(4.+Generation+oder+Photo)+Akku+tauschen/393

The pixel density on this device is… unfamiliar. I prefer the black and white display; much crisper. Will mod that one next! 😬

What‘s a good alternative to Google Drive/Dropbox for (small) teams, that integrates well with Mac OS? 🤔

@Eggfreckles Ha! Awesome. I have the exact same ones (except for Office) :)

@mjomdal Oh no :( Yeah I can imagine. Still didn’t take the leap yet, but I guess it’s unavoidable anyway.

@normanposselt @fritz_groegel I read a tutorial on modding an old iPod for Bluetooth capability. It sounded way too complex and I had to think of you and your soldering station 🤓🪛

@brot Jah, wir haben da bisher die Finger von gelassen weil es recht brachial für unsere wenigen Bedürfnisse wirkt. Aber vielleicht doch mal ein Versuch wert, danke!
