mastodon 4.7.3My name is Chris. I live in the Northeast US, and am slowly starting to learn more on this journey called life. I inconsistently podcast, game stream, and sing karaoke for fun. I also love Ghostbusters.
It's always fun to cross paths, just don't cross the streams.

@ryan@bemrose.social I have an AmazFit watch with a silent vibrating alarm.
I usually have my phone in my bedroom but mostly keep it on a charging stand. It's there in case any of my 5-6 priority contacts has an emergency so I can hear it.

@mwichary just saw a video on YouTube about vector panels. They used one to make the graphics in WarGames and then used post-processing and filters to make it colored. It was actually a green HP vector display

@saraislet@infosec.exchange my boss and I built a business use case around using AI features in a CRM platform. We'd only implement the things we know would have benefit to support agents.
EVP's first question to us was "What percentage of efficiency or cost savings? ". Because that is something you can't answer.
But he is fine encouraging us to "find reasons" to use co-pilot or to approve random low-quality in-house AI projects.🤣🤣🤣

@gamingonlinux about time they made a non-VR version of it.
I grew up with the originals and did some behind the scenes stuff for The 13th Doll: A Fan Game of The 7th Guest.
The VR remake is VERY good and one of the puzzle designers Paul Van der Meers actually did puzzle work on The 13th Doll
@podcastaddict@podcastindex.social not sure if this is an existing feature or not.
I normally sort my playlist from oldest to newest so I'm listening to episodes in order. However, there are a few shows I'd always like to jump to the top, while retaining their episode order if there are currently more than one unplayed episode.
Is that currently possible?

@ryan@bemrose.social I get it, and I do limit my bedroom phone time for the reasons you mentioned.
But, kid, slightly older GF kid, and aging mom.
With the kids I told both, "if you are stuck in a bad place, party, drunk, etc. Then call, no questions asked"

@dave@podcastindex.social I think RAM, SSD, and other prices will be coming down after the IPOs. Investors might deal with low/no profitability, but shareholders will not.
So, the big AI companies will need to scale back on datacenter plans and such.

@dave@podcastindex.social yeah, I will probably be setting up a NAS in the future.
Might go with a higher end UGreen enclosure, upgrade the RAM, and then get several enterprise level 20TB drives.
Not sure if I will flash a new OS like Unraid on it.
