@jimgar@hachyderm.io @keyboardpipette@genomic.social Trainline seconded. I find it much more reliable than the “official” app of my (for now) operator. @jimgar@hachyderm.io great point re. turnarounds - I’ve had to wait a long time at Swindon more than once due to minor delays meaning I missed my connection…

@defuneste@fosstodon.org @LeafyEricScott@hachyderm.io *EDIT* sorry I missed that someone already suggested this! I know “regular” DuckDB has the “Union by name” argument in read_csv() which might work, I’m not sure the R package version of read_csv() lets you use this, but presumably you could use the SQL syntax within dbGetQuery() and that might work? 🤔 https://duckdb.org/docs/current/data/multiple_files/combining_schemas
Combining Schemas
DuckDB

Combining Schemas

Examples Read a set of CSV files combining columns by position: SELECT * FROM read_csv('flights*.csv'); Read a set of CSV files combining columns by name: SELECT * FROM read_csv('flights*.csv', union_by_name = true); Combining Schemas When reading from multiple files, we have to combine schemas from those files. That is because each file has its own schema that can differ from the other files. DuckDB offers two ways of unifying schemas of multiple files: by column position and by column name. By

@ced@mapstodon.space @duringju@rstats.me @GillesColling@fosstodon.org I’m pretty sure dplyr::left_join() warns you if a one-to-many join occurs even if you _haven’t_ specified an expected relationship?

@ike@pkm.social @fringemagnet@sunny.garden Similar! I played it when it came out but weirdly have been thinking about it more recently despite being completely out of the loop with gaming nowadays. I only played VI to X; VIII definitely has something haunting about it. Great soundtrack too.

Debate in parliament about activating the break clause for the FDP/ Palantir coming up on April 16th. If you’d like to email your MP to share your thoughts/urge they attend, Foxglove have a template/sending service here:

Does anyone know of any good solicitors in/around #Bristol (UK) for dealing with #probate / #conveyancing ? Sadly, I have a need for one and any recommendations would be very welcome.
