also management: here is all this pointless paperwork that you need to complete RIGHT NOW, and oh a dozed meeting sprinkled through you day meaning you will never have a chance to actually think or devote time to that REALLY CRITICAL THING!!!!
I get weekly status updates BUT they fact you need to do them so early in the week so layers of management can aggregate them up drives me nuts
Starting my day early means I can get started on things when it is quiet the problem is any momentum is destroyed when management logs on and starts raining chaos

2 things the CEO is VERY into..... earnings calls and AI all the things.....
The earnings call is actually more worrying.....bc it illustrates to me leadership focused on the short term.
let's see I could sit down and concentrate and get work that would directly benefit employer's security OR I can bounce from meeting to meeting all morning.....
the problem is there is NO feedback loop to demonstrate external costs of inviting one more person to a meeting

why I don't fear AI taking over anything ....my "smart" speaker does a pretty good job when it actually decides to set a timer...but when I ask it how long since the last timer went off it dumbly responds "how long would you like to set a timer"
