Kill Yr Substack intercepts every Substack link (even on custom domains) and redirects it to archive.is.
Substack's numbers go down. You still get to read the thing tho.

WSE stores over 64k spam terms in a custom table (instead of an array in wp_options) and now it's 83x faster!
Takes about 1.3ms (on average) to check a comment in WSE versus 108ms using #WordPress core functionality.

Made a few updates to #KillYrSubstack over the past 48 hours:
- Added an unpacked version for Chromium users who can't install the CRX (looking at you, Vivaldi).
- Relaxed the minimum Firefox version, so LibreWolf, Waterfox, and ESR installs should all work now.

After a number of folks let me know they wouldn't install #KillYrSubstack specifically because the maintainer of archive.is DDoSed and harassed a blogger who looked into the site's ownership, I thought it'd be worth offering an alternative.
Hope the Ghost Archive maintainers don't manage to milkshake duck themselves, because I don't know of any other good, low friction alternatives.

Spent ~90 minutes farting around in the site editor, and gave it the safety orange treatment. Even got my "business hour comments" block pattern moved over. All of it was super easy. And it looks sick as fuck.
Pi Zero will scan BLE for MAC patterns and known manufacturer IDs that ALPRs broadcast. iPhone will provide GPS coordinates over hotspot via the GPS2IP app.
Will have the Pi plugged into a #Beepy so I can have a screen, keyboard, and battery handy for troubleshooting.

Thinking of moving `hipsum.co` off of #WordPress. Mostly because running an ipsum generator on WP in 2026 feels lowkey ridiculous.
I kinda don't want to spend time building out the hipsum+latin bit on the new site tho.
Before I totally scrap it, I built a small tracking add-on for the Any Ipsum plugin. Trying to see what users are actually generating.
In the last ~60 minutes: 513 hipsum requests, 3 hipsum+latin.
Apologies to Max Fischer, but it looks like Latin's going on the chopping block.
