Is there a project to bring back the NewtonOS to any kind of smartphone? It’s written entirely in C++, so it shouldn’t be impossible. My Newton is getting old lately. #newton #apple #pda #retrocomputing #vintagetech #retrotech

@Jeremiah@alpaca.gold We sometimes forget now that this was the standard during the longest period of computer history: network only when necessary

@Jeremiah I‘m teaching immigrants in Germany. Here are basic rules to learn a language as an adult: 1) learn 3 Words a day, this makes more than a thousand words a year 2) read children’s books loud 3) for ADHD: establish a habit (10 minutes while having morning coffee/tea) Here comes the ugly part: If you don’t learn their language, you‘ll never understand them. Language is not just words, it implies their way of thinking. Wouldn’t that be cool to get another point of view?

@NickEast_IndieWriter@mastodon.art Book hoard fits well for me. Library sounds sorted and with a kind of order. I just have bookcases full of books. It takes hours to find a specific one 🤪

@newtontalk@bitbang.social I‘ve got mine still in a drawer. It served me well during University times 🥰

@besendorf@chaos.social Shit

Danke!

@zopyx Ein unendlich geflochtenes Band 😊

@CuratedHackerNews This is easy to describe in 3 Words: a must read

@kirschner Most of the people will not notice. Some will appreciate your style. A rare few will ask themselves how many years were you preparing this one trip? 😊
