#AskFedi This is a good problem but I would still love your advice and brainstorms: I have eliminated so many kinds of plastic from my life that I no longer have a reliable supply of plastic bags (from groceries, bread, etc) for storing fruits and veggies in the fridge. Please tell me your happy eco produce storage strategies. It helps me a lot if I can see the veggies, but I am willing to figure out labels as a workaround if necessary #food #solarpunk #HomeEc

New server, new #introduction Hi I’m Sarah, a queer chronically ill parent / soft-goth gardener / zine factory out here posting about a lot of different things. Currently on medical leave due to “severe chronic pain” but hoping to get back soon to my beloved job building open source, community-led Indigenous language revitalization software. #3GoodThings from yesterday and #today:

1. I made an outrageously delicious soup stock, which happens this time of year due to the late summer veggie scraps that have accumulated in the freezer: corn cobs, roasted pepper skins, all the stems from bunches of basil and cilantro... Very luxe trash. Plus this time I started with the leftover liquid from poaching chicken thighs. It's beyond.

2. I had exactly the right houseguests to appreciate this triumph so I got to enjoy a solid 15 minutes of people tasting and then praising the soup stock.

3. Now I get to make breakfast soup and it's going to be unreal 😭
