Alpenglow is 10 years old, and to celebrate, I’ve just shipped features I’ve wanted in the app since the early days. With Alpenglow’s own Sunrise/Sunset Forecast model in place, you can now view forecasts on a map, along with viewing up to 7 days ahead.

Heading home after another fantastic @DeepDishSwift@iosdev.space, filled with incredible people and engaging talks.
Now, it’s time to head home and tackle taxes and deal with an app rejection 😅
Analytics tool hopping for @alpenglowapp@indieapps.space 😅
Mixpanel → plans changed, too expensive
TelemetryDeck → didn’t quite click, ended up pricey PostHog → powerful, but complex
Now trying @joshdholtz@mastodon.social’s MostlyGoodMetrics. Hoping it’s mostly good and the price is 😍
For the first time in nearly 10 years, I just built Buffers iOS app without Texture / AsyncDisplayKit.
A lot of modernization went into this, and with the new Composer almost out the door, the rest of the dominos can fall, including removing CocoaPods and finally being 100% in on Swift Package Manager.
Any app with a single external dependency is only as reliable as that dependency.
I’ve been building @alpenglowapp@indieapps.space's own sunrise & sunset forecast model for exactly that reason.
When SunsetWX went down last weekend, I flipped the switch earlier than planned.
Back from Deep Dish Swift, and all but one update for @alpenglowapp@indieapps.space’s big 10th birthday release is now approved by Apple.(need more rejection socks)
Time to get the Android update buttoned up along with some marketing bits. If anyone wants to check it out let me know!
Going a few rounds with App Review 😅
1. Rejected for missing Apple Weather attribution (on a plan that doesn’t use it)
2. Fixed the attribution link not opening on visionOS (os check quirk)
3. Resubmitted
4. Rejected again for #1... with screenshots showing the upgrade prompt where the weather would be.

@joshdholtz@mastodon.social Not sure if you have a flow for registering domains through your agents. If not https://blog.cloudflare.com/registrar-api-beta/?utm_campaign=cf_blog&utm_source=threads&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_content=20260415/ 🚀
Really hopeful start to this product page optimization... then it all goes downhill 😅
Not bad considering January I was at 8.8k overall. 📈
Been leaning into SEO lately, nice not having to wait on approvals or deal with rejections. 😅
@RobW@iosdev.space Starglow handles Dynamic Type quite well in my opinion. Not perfect but better than some I've seen.
