Went to Dave's Drum Shop yesterday and bought some cymbal stands. Set up my son's old drum kit this morning and played for a bit. Felt nice.
Just need a crash cymbal or two!

Went to #VARNING for the first time and took exactly one picture. The pedals of the guitar player from Psycho Terrorist Despair System. A mess of faulty power cables. And I learned a new way to make that terrible (in a good way) rawpunk / noise punk guitar tone!

I never understood the Venom hype... They give me such "We have Celtic Frost at home" vibes.

This next song is 8 minutes long… so buckled up. #gigencours

Jam space is really coming along now. Electrical should be done in the next two weeks (the lights are run from an extension cord and the amps are not plugged in)

Fixed the broken buckle in my hat with dental floss, as any good punk would.

Jam space is almost done!

Needs some sound dampening and electrical. Both are happening in the very near future.

Who wants to start a punk band near Ottawa?

Asparagus!

People in bands, or band adjacent - especially #punk bands - has your band discussed or created a shared values or points of unity-style document?

I think it's a good time for one of my bands to have those discussions but I'm not sure how to start. Any advice, recommendations, or even samples of what y'all did would be appreciated.

Boosts welcome.

Have ever had (or do you still have) a premium #Spotify account? Do you think you're supporting artists by paying Spotify a monthly fee?

It may be time to really look at how you use it, and where your money goes. Do this: https://banjohans.github.io/Spotify-Unwrapped/

My family had a Premium Spotify family account for years... I requested my Spotify data and analyzed it with the above tool. The results were shocking.

Goslings are getting bigger!

Boots Riley drops several nuggets of wisdom in this interview about his recent movie I Love Boosters. Ooof. It’s going to have me thinking for a while.

Woke up to the #birdfeeder in the tree! How does this even happen?

Remember #cantenna from the early days of #wifi? Are those still a thing? I would like to have WiFi in the jam space but I think the metal roof combined with the room-within-a-room sound proofing created a faraday cage.
Our closest mesh router is 150+ feet away in the house.
