My M4 #MacBook has now crashed twice after the macOS 27 upgrade, never before that.
Apparently when going to sleep, if I read the crash report correctly? I did submit them.
Where's my check for beta-testing your OS, Apple? What the fuck?
Very annoyed right now. A rollback to 26 seems to involve a complete wipe and re-install.

@slyvorg@social.vivaldi.net Reading through the net w.r.t. MacOS 27 issues; it seems they really messed up Mission Control, which I use a lot, so I went down to one virtual desktop and hadn't had a crash since.
I do, however, reboot the Macbook once I notice 'choppiness' in the animations or in videos, which appear after some hours of usage.
So now I have to babysit my laptop and cannot use it like I want to. Good job, Apple.

Up, up, and away.
I liked the blue/green contrast and the mixture of textures between the flat sky and tree.

The signal.
Too grainy for my taste, but I wanted to get one with the light cone.

I lifted the nightly curfew on the RTC bus just long enough for a timestamp to squeeze through. 778333:3.
I sighed.
The noise from the party downstairs was bypassing all audio filters and manifested as rhythmical, physical jolts. Someone had invested in diabolical audio hardware.
I reached over to the other side of the bed, gently tapping Miun on the back.
“Any senseplugs left?” I whispered on the emerg frequency.
Instead of an answer, I got a dissatisfied grumble and a flying box, which bounced off my head.
For a few seconds I fumbled in the dark, then gave up and booted my eyes.
Empty.
I groaned.

My mother began to cry as we left Dr. Briar's office. Nothing dramatic, just small tears and shallow breaths that made it past the chaos in her head.
Irremediable.
Her hand was squeezing mine so hard that it hurt, but I understood. Through the crowds of the city and the subway, she held me and only let go when we stood before my room.
I took a big step to avoid the bleached spot on the floor, lay on the bed, and shut my eyes. The door closed, and I could hear her slump against it. Sobbing.
Sadness welled up in me as I reached out into the darkness behind my eyes with my hurting hand.
They coalesced from the shifting haze and flashes, reaching for the pain in my fingers and my soul, tearing it away, but it just whetted their appetite.
They turned towards the door, lusting for the sensation that lay behind, and it took all of me to hold them back.
All of me and the promise of another sacrifice.

Bad camouflage.
She'd lurk in there for hours, tracking every rustle with her ears.

A nation's vape.
Like needles, drilling rigs stab the earth, again and again, looking for another good vein to draw the mother's lifeblood, to barter and trade, to boil and burn, to litter and suffocate.
The sheer scale of a refinery is mind-boggling.

Diagonal.
Another photo from the botanical garden. I love the contrast of the grimy, geometrical, man-made glass roof and the plants doing their thing.

Good managers are bullshit firewalls; bad managers are bullshit amplifiers.
This does not mean that you don't have to deal with BS under good management, but at least it'll be well curated and high-quality BS, and everyone rolls their eyes together.

Yeah, sorry 'bout that. The world is being weird and puts me in a weird headspace.

@Glorya.Johanne For me it's the unsharp features of the face with the backlight halo around the head and the dress blowing forward. Looks a little like a ghost :)

Murder mystery.
The house looked like an ideal setting for a classical crime story.

Rafak leaned back with a smile and a happy sigh. The plate on the table looked like it had just come out of a dishwasher.
“Need anything?” The waiter asked, also smiling.
“Just compliments to the chef.” Rafak closed his eyes.
When he opened them again a burly man in an apron approached, two small glasses in his hands.
“So you want to know my secrets?” The man asked with a smirk, and handed Rafak a glass.
“No.” Rafak lifted the glass. “Never.”

@slyvorg@social.vivaldi.net Hmm thanks. I will switch off Bluetooth for now; I rarely need it.
Let's see if that helps.
