Busses are great, trams are better.
Imagine if roads were parks instead.
The Northern Strand Trail is an absolute gem of the Boston area and the fact that nobody really talks about it is a travesty.

Holy cow I had no idea how much of my cycling education is John Forrester's work. Even biking culture jokes like "53 miles per burrito" have an edge of the bicycle chauvinism.

They don't hide technical detail from you when it's important. They've carefully crafted all the text to be specific, but comprehensible. They explain things in clear language. It's really best in class.
@SnoopJ@hachyderm.io Yeh. I hope so. If we haven't fucked up foreign trade entirely, there are _so many_ good little vehicles now. East and southeast asia both use a huge number of small electric vehicles for the last mile. Maybe they'll make it here.
@SnoopJ@hachyderm.io Yes! But also I have no idea why someone would buy one. They're so much harder to maintain and they burn oil and ...
@SnoopJ@hachyderm.io Yeah, same, when it's so serene. I mostly hate them for being gas though. I think we just need more little transportation devices. Just ... not noisy ones.
@cassey@urbanists.social it’s so good! And makes a really interesting Haggadah reading at a Seder too
@SnoopJ@hachyderm.io Seriously. The bridge is gonna help so much. (We gotta make sure it actually happens)
Alford St is definitely Not My Favorite, and biking past the casino is weird (and they'd rather you walk)
You're totally right about the cars, too. It's like it's ... respected? Surprises the hell out of me, after dealing with the frankly rude and dangerous Salem traffic.
