Diagnosed in my early 40s with ASD (Asperger's under the former nomenclature). It's a neurodevelopmental disability, not a superpower.

I tolerate using gestures for navigating on my work iPhone because I have to, but I really don't like swiping all the time on my personal phone. It's clumsy, and I usually have to try more than once.
I've re-enabled the "old school" navigation buttons at the bottom of the Android screen, as the good lord intended.

@woe2you@beige.party @maxleibman@beige.party I've run into situations where my choice of subject for the analogy raises an objection or comment by someone who happens to know all about that topic.
Before you know it, the thread devolves into a series of posts about [arcane topic that was never the point].

The Bearded IT Dad is possibly the worst online instructor I've ever seen.
He uses the same relentless, nasal tone every time he speaks, and never breaks the droning with aside comments, or explanations that aren't in his script.
Even worse, the material consists of listicles with barely a breather, so I have to constantly roll back the video to get what he just said. #LinkedInLearning

@georgeharito@mastodon.au Briefly, my contacts were being cut off due to entire instances getting blocked by the admin. Complete strangers are now piling on me, and I'm out spoons.
It's a pity there are no reindeer in these parts to enjoy it (August 2017). #ThrowbackThursday #LichenSubscribe #Tennessee #FujifilmXT2

Migrating to the new phone has turned into a day long event. A lot of the reason is SMS Backup and Restore trying to process thousands of old texts as it restores them.
I probably need to go through those and do some digital housekeeping. 🤔
Fujifilm has come a long way with the reliability of their phone app. It used to be an exercise in frustration getting it to work with their cameras at all.
I just paired both of my cameras with the app on my new phone, and I didn't say one bad word in the process! #Fujifilm

@mack505@feistycricket.org @georgeharito@mastodon.au Thanks. It was recommended as a stable instance in an article I read somewhere. Probably not as stable as running your own, but good enough for now.

@bosak@flx.masto.host @analog_cafe@mas.to If I'm using a decent camera in working order, I'm pretty certain my photos will "come out." They might not look exactly as I'd hoped, but *something* will be there.
If I were being generous, I'd guess the poster is thinking about shooting experimental film in a toy camera. Even then, however, I'm confident an image of some sort will register!

@coldkennels@mastodon.social @bosak@flx.masto.host @analog_cafe@mas.to Sadly, some people would love to do that for the "exposure."
I have one of their cameras (Fisheye 2) that I bought on sale. I've shot some of their films, although QC has been an issue. The one film I think is pretty good is their Lomo Color 400 / 800. It has amazing saturation.

@coldkennels@mastodon.social @bosak@flx.masto.host @analog_cafe@mas.to I think I last shot their Lomo Color more recently than that. My main complaint was that the 120 version gave you very little lead for loading.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social I had the same question as did someone else about the utility of Pi-Hole for addressing these trackers.
Also, I wonder if Privacy Badger is able to block any of these?

@CavedaleRhones@sfba.social I usually listen to podcasts while driving to work, as during my workout time at home — when I can focus on the words while performing routine tasks.
